A BRP Thanksgiving

At BRP Architects, Thanksgiving is a cherished time for us to gather as a team and celebrate the season of gratitude. Each year, we come together with colleagues and friends for a memorable luncheon in Springfield, Missouri. This year, we chose Civil Kitchen, a favorite spot where we enjoyed laughter, connection, and the warmth of good company.

Thanksgiving isn’t only about the day itself; it’s an opportunity to reflect on what truly matters. We’re grateful for our dedicated team, whose creativity and commitment make every project special. We also thank our clients and partners for their trust, collaboration, and shared vision. Together, we’re privileged to design spaces that inspire and bring joy.

This year, we asked each of our employees what they were thankful for. Here’s what they said:

Nick Rispoli: “I'm thankful for friends and family who have helped me both throughout my life and my career. I wouldn't be where I am without them!”

Mike Harned: "I am thankful for my family, friends, and colleagues."

Gerri Kielhofner: “I am thankful for the opportunities I’ve had to practice Architecture with so many talented individuals.  I know that anything I have ever accomplished has been the result of group efforts, and I am so thankful to be a part of our BRP community!”

Benjamin Van Eps: “I am thankful for our clean air, clean water, and the ability to explore all the amenities nature has to offer.“

Glenn Illert: “I am thankful to God for His many blessings, particularly the group of people I get to work with daily.”

Christopher Swan: “I am thankful for my family, friends, and coworkers.  These are the people that I love and depend on.”

Jon Gruett: “I’m thankful for my new doggo, Copper! He’s new this year, and having him there to break up my workday is a blessing. Really gives me something to look forward to while spending my lunch breaks at home with him every day!”

Morgan Mateja: “I’m incredibly thankful for my family, friends, pups, and above all God for providing the countless blessings that surround me."

George Mandrik: “I'm thankful for my family and healthy kids.”

Amber Summers: “This year I am thankful to have amazing family, friends and fur babies surrounding me! I am also thankful for the existence of graph paper!”

Brian Vanne: “This year I am thankful for memories with family, support and love from friends, and engagement with colleagues, clients, and good work.”

Casey Murrow: “I am thankful for the opportunity to work somewhere that gives me a wide range of experiences to learn from.”

Jacob Nentrup: “I am thankful for my family, my dogs, and spell check.”

Nick Banner: “This year I am very thankful for scented dog poop bags. Turns out big dogs make...well you fill in the blank.“

Nicole Falconer: “I'm thankful for my family, friends, and iced coffee!”

Samantha Hite: “I am grateful to have the opportunities to exist where I am. In the past year, I have made and cemented friendships that have really been a rock for me! I am thankful to continue to build my metaphorical quilt of family and friends in a tumultuous society, and I hope this holiday allows others to reflect on the opportunities and graces of their year, and how to take this appreciation forward into their communities.”

Stacey Richardson: “I am thankful for friends and family this year!  I have so many people in my life that make everyday special and I don't know what I would do without them!”

Taylor Greene: “I'm thankful for a supportive working environment, and getting to be a part of the Springfield community.”

William Miranda: “I’m thankful for the people that are part of my life.”

Danny Leon: “I am deeply grateful for the support of my family and friends, whose encouragement and love push me to be the best that I can every day.”

John Cox: “I am thankful for my dog and loving family, and that I can spend as much time with them as I do.”

Renee Vines: “There are so many things that I have to be thankful for, but the one thing that has stood out to me lately is my health. I know several people with health issues, and it has really made me appreciate my own good health. Without my health I couldn't do all the things I love to do, spend time with people I love, see all the fall colors, go to work and provide things for my family.”
