Greenwood Multipurpose Addition Construction Update

Greenwood Multipurpose Addition Construction Update

The Greenwood multipurpose addition is approximately 65 percent complete with the majority of the masonry walls constructed and the installation of the brick veneer underway. The tan color on the exterior side of the masonry walls is actually the air/moisture barrier coating that protects the building envelope from, as the name says, air and moisture penetration into the building. Metal wall panels, cast stone panels, more brick veneer and exterior windows will be installed on the exterior in the next several weeks.

The roof has been installed over the gym and stage area and over the front lobby area. Roof deck has been installed at the connector corridor. On the interior, all masonry walls have been installed. The concrete slabs on grade are poured and they are already grinding the concrete to expose the aggregates for the polished concrete floors. Mechanical ducts, electrical conduits and junction boxes for future light locations, and pipes for mechanical and water systems are all underway.

The storefront clerestory windows at the gym will start getting installed in early June as well as the stage door. Project completion is scheduled for early Fall.
