Walls and roofs – every building has them, but they aren’t all created equal. The difference is in the details, the materials and the installation. Why is that important? Because it’s how the building protects itself against nature, and 35% of the building’s heating and air can be lost through the building envelope without the proper air/moisture barrier. There is no such thing as a wall or a roof that doesn’t allow water to get in at some point. The trick is to make sure the water has a way to get back out without doing any damage.
Service
Providing superior, prompt service to our clients is of utmost importance to BR&P. Because we want our clients’ projects to be successful, we constantly work behind the scenes, anticipating problems and solving them before they become issues. We work hard to minimize surprises along the way. The services provided by an architect are many; ranging from the first meeting with a client sketching ideas, to translating the final design into construction documents, to meeting with the contractor on site to inspect the building during construction. The difference in our services is found in extra things we do like dealing with regulatory agencies, working through the multitude of land development or re-development processes, providing timely and relevant information to lenders, and project advocacy to constituents. We can’t (and shouldn’t) do everything, but we will certainly do everything we can.
Relationships
Building working and trusting relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, contractors and public officials is essential. In our 35 years of practice, we have built a large network of industry professionals that we can turn to when assistance is needed. Each have their own area of expertise which brings value to the project, and that is not something we take for granted.
