The BR&P designed TownePlace Suites in Chandler, Arizona is officially open and welcoming guests! The four story, 109 all-suite hotel amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, breakfast area, a business center, boardroom and electric car charging stations. Each apartment-style room comes with a fully equipped kitchen.
The hotel incorporates Marriott’s newest generation of design, and includes several unique features. One of which is a modified two-story lobby with a custom fireplace as a focal element along with the addition of a full service lobby bar. The bar and lobby open to the patio featuring a fire pit and prototypical barbecue area with direct access to the pool.

The exterior is also different than a typical TownePlace Suites. The owner wanted the hotel and adjoining retail buildings to complement the contemporary aesthetics of his recently opened apartment complex next door. By doing this, it provided a consistent architectural style for the entire development. BR&P worked with the developer, Marriott and the City to achieve this by incorporating similar exterior materials, colors and accent elements on both the hotel and the retail building designs.
David Hess, BR&P Architect & Partner, enjoyed the challenge and ultimate success of customizing a prototypical hotel project that met the objectives and needs of the developer, the brand and the City.
