The BR&P designed Embassy Suites Hotel and Red Wolf Convention Center in Jonesboro, AR, recently celebrated its groundbreaking. The seven-story 203-suite hotel, located on the Arkansas State campus, is designed to be LEED Certified and will have an attached Houlihan’s Restaurant. Other features include a two-story atrium lobby, an indoor swimming pool, a Starbucks, business center, a 24-hour fitness room, large banquet hall, ballroom and several meetings rooms for a large variety of meeting room options.
The 40,000 sq. ft. Red Wolf Convention Center offers flexible meeting room spaces from a large 15,000 sq. ft. banquet hall which will seat 1,000 people to a small 30-person meeting in a boardroom. The convention center will also feature solar panels on its roof.

The hotel, convention center, and the Houlihan’s restaurant will be used as a natural laboratory in the training of students enrolled in the hospitality management program at the university. Students will be able to take classes in a working hospitality environment, obtain internships as well as gain access to mentorships within the Hilton and O’Reilly Hospitality systems.
“This upscale hotel convention center and restaurant complex will bring an incredible amount of vibrancy, business, conventions, meetings, and events of all types to Jonesboro,” says Tim O’Reilly, founder and CEO of O’Reilly Hospitality Management. “It will significantly bolster the local economy.”
The hotel is scheduled to be complete late summer 2019.
