This month most people think about food, football, and family. While we love all those things, another word that comes to mind is gratitude. At BR&P, we are extremely thankful for our clients and those who help to turn our design work into reality. As the year is winding down, and the holidays are rapidly approaching, we take a moment to look back at our projects which opened in 2015.
Embassy Suites – Saratoga Springs, NY Completed spring 2015, a full-service six story hotel with 149 suites, a restaurant, and bar located in Downtown Saratoga Springs.
Springfield Historic City Hall – Springfield, MO Completed in February 2015, the project consisted of providing historic reproductions of the existing windows in the rotunda. The windows are unique as they are arch top, but have a radius in plan view.
Friendly Ford – Springfield, MO Completed spring 2015, the 92,811 sq. ft. brand update and remodel included an update of the exterior with a sleek modern finish, as well as an expansion of the customer interaction areas. A Quick Lane service and a waiting area were also added.
Homewood Suites – Clifton Park, NY Opened May 2015, the four story, 95 suite hotel is designed for any traveler who wants to stay for a short trip or an extended-stay.
Hampton Inn, Downtown Waterfront – Portland, ME Completed in May, the renovation involved transforming a meeting room into three new guest rooms.
Branson Landing North Retail Development – Branson, MO Opened in June 2015, the development consists of three new buildings containing 16 storefront lease spaces ranging in size from 1,375 sq. ft. to nearly 4,200 sq. ft., totaling 29,600 sq. ft.
Jordan Valley Community Health Center, Addition and Renovation – Springfield, MO Dedicated June 2015, JVCHC is able to add 13 new providers, increasing community access to affordable pediatric care, women’s health, and oral health. They also could see a potential increase of 50,000 patient encounters per year for an additional 13,500 patients.
1014 E. Walnut – Springfield, MO Opened August 2015, just in time for students coming back to campus. The two story, eight unit apartment building was entirely pre-leased well before the project was finished. The design of the building needed to fit in with the historic feel of the neighborhood, yet maximize density on a narrow lot.
Blair Shannon Dining Hall Renovation, Missouri State University – Springfield, MO Completed August 2015, a reconfiguration to better accommodate service during peak traffic hours as well as improved lighting in the space. The entrance walls were also reconfigured, and are now floor-to-ceiling glass, creating an open, modern appearance.
Clifton Park Retail Center – Clifton Park, NY Will be completed December 2015, this building adds 28,000 square feet of new retail space to the Clifton Park Center Mall.
Queen of Angels Addition – Springfield, MO Scheduled for completion December 2015, this addition adds 4,645 sq. ft. of space to the convent. The addition includes a living room and bedrooms for visiting nuns, as well as a relocation of the garage.
