When it opens in May 2015, the Branson Landing North Retail Development will extend the footprint of the popular Branson Landing mixed-use destination to the north, overlooking Roark Creek and Lake Taneycomo.
BR&P designed this $2.5 million project for developer HCW, LLC of Branson, Missouri. The development consists of three buildings containing 16 storefront lease spaces ranging in size from 1,375 sq. ft. to nearly 4,200 sq. ft., totaling 29,600 sq. ft.
BR&P provided architecture and structural engineering design services, and will provide construction administration, for the development. Springfield-based Build, LLC has been selected as the general contractor. The civil engineer is Olsson Associates, Colvin Jones Davis is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Zanaboni-Smith Design Studio is the landscape architect.
Continued Service at the Landing
Branson Landing North Retail Development represents a continuation of the relationship between BR&P and HCW in general, and at the Branson Landing in particular.
For the original Branson Landing development completed in 2007, BR&P provided planting and irrigation design, hardscape design and site amenity selection services. In addition, tenant infill services were provided for several retailers within the development.
On February 29, 2012, Branson was struck by an EF-2 tornado with 120-130 mph winds. HCW, LLC immediately reached out to BR&P, who was on site the next morning to assess the damage at the Landing and adjacent Hilton Hotel. BR&P team members assisted HCW, LLC through the evaluation and assessment of the damage, preparing construction documents, and overseeing reconstruction until the final repairs were complete.
Award-Winning Project
In 2008, the Branson Landing was awarded a First Place Design Award for a Mixed-Use Retail Project for Innovative Design & Construction of a New Project from the International Council of Shopping Centers.
In 2009, it was awarded the Director’s Redevelopment Award from the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
