On January 15, we welcomed Sean Arkin, Intern Architect, and on January 16, welcomed Bryan Williams, Student Architectural Intern, to our team of design professionals.
Sean, originally from New York, NY, graduated from Drury University in 2014 with a Master of Architecture and minors in graphic design/design arts and global studies. Prior to joining BR&P, his experience included designing corporate fit out projects in the New York City office of an international design firm. Sean is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Bryan, from St. Louis, MO, is a fifth-year Architecture student at Drury University. He will graduate in May with a Master of Architecture and minor in graphic design/design arts. While attending Drury, he was a member of Drury’s baseball team and studied abroad in Aegina, Greece for a semester.
An Intern Architect is a graduate of an accredited professional program in architecture, who has not yet passed the series of exams required by the state of residency in order to become licensed.
BR&P practices architecture, planning and project management locally, regionally and nationally. The company has been in business since 1978 in Springfield.

What is your best tip on surviving architecture school? Be passionate about what you do, all the rest will work itself out
What’s your favorite movie of all time? The Sandlot
What’s something unique about you? I have eaten three different meals in three different countries all in the same day. Breakfast in Copenhagen, Denmark. Lunch in Malmo, Sweden. Dinner in Barcelona, Spain.
What is something you’d like to learn how to do? Learn how to draw with my left hand, so I could simultaneously draw with both hands
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? Unrealistic answer: Kerry Wood Realistic answer: An author that illustrated my own books

What’s your real favorite book, and what book do you pretend is your favorite to sound smart? Anything magical or sci-fi (Harry Potter), Peter Zumthor: Atmospheres (I actually love this book, but also think it makes me sound smart)
