New Architect, New Graduate, New License: BR&P Team Updates

June has been busy for us! We’ve hired two new team members, and have celebrated the accomplishments of Layne Hunton, who earned his Missouri license this month.


BR&P Welcomes New Graduate to its Team of Architects

BR&P Welcomes Intern Architect: Brandon Roellig

On May 22 Butler, Rosenbury & Partners welcomed Brandon Roellig, Intern Architect, to their team of design professionals.


Mr. Roellig, from Warsaw, MO, graduated Cum Laude from Drury University in 2017 with a Master of Architecture and minor in graphic design. He received the Founders Award for Design Excellence and the Librarium Award for the most distinguished thesis studio project.


He was involved in Lambda Chi Alpha as external vice president, a Drury student ambassador, was a member of American Institute of Architecture Students, and was vice president of Tau Sigma Delta, the architectural honor society. Brandon studied abroad in Aegina, Greece for a semester.


Mr. Roellig was a student intern with Butler, Rosenbury & Partners during his fifth year of architecture school.

An Intern Architect is a graduate of an accredited professional program in architecture, who has not yet passed the series of exams required by the state of residency in order to become licensed.


BR&P welcomes Architect to its Team of Design Professionals

BR&P Welcomes Architect: RG Foster

On April 10 BR&P welcomed RG Foster, a licensed architect, to its team of design professionals.


Mr. Foster, originally from Kansas City, Kansas, attended the University of Kansas. Prior to joining BR&P, he worked in several Springfield firms including one in which he was a founding partner. Previous work experience over his 45-year career includes the Gene Taylor Post Office Building on Chestnut Expressway, the Hulston Cancer Center at CoxHealth & multiple projects at Chesterfield Village in Springfield, MO.


BR&P Architect Earns Missouri License

Congratulations Layne Hunton on Achieving Licensure in Missouri

Butler, Rosenbury & Partners is pleased to announce that Layne Hunton has achieved licensure as an architect in the state of Missouri. This brings the total number of licensed architects in the firm to 12.


Layne Hunton received his Missouri license upon passing the Architect Registration Examination (ARE), a registration examination required by states and provinces in the US and Canada. The ARE examinations, which are taken separately, include:

  • Construction Documents & Services

  • Programming, Planning & Practice

  • Site Planning & Design

  • Project Planning & Design

  • Project Development & Documentation

Layne has been with BR&P since 2015. He graduated from the Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2012. He has been a design team member on several notable projects including the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Springfield MO, the Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center in Jonesboro, AR, as well as an addition and renovation to the Lake of the Ozarks Animal Hospital in Lake Ozark, MO.
