The BR&P designed Aloft Hotel has broken ground! The four-story 100-room hotel sits on the 2.4-acre property located adjacent to the Westgate Entertainment District, one of the premier entertainment destinations in the region. Hotel amenities include a fitness center, lobby bar with live entertainment, an outdoor fire pit and pool.
The Aloft brand exudes a modern “loft” vibe. “The public lobby will have a highly polished concrete floor and exposed structural system which is atypical for most conventional hotel standards,” explains Benjamin Van Eps, BR&P Architect and Partner.
“The contemporary design of the hotel fits well with the surrounding Westgate development and the signature Aloft ‘swoof’ roof and colored lighting will serve as a visual beacon to the surrounding area,” says David Hess, BR&P Architect and Partner. The design team also incorporated sculptural elements and enhanced the landscaping at the corner of the property to help accentuate the entry into the Westgate district.
The mixed-use Westgate Entertainment District is anchored by a 20-screen AMC Theaters, Dave & Busters, and is adjacent to the 400,000 sq. ft. Tanger Outlets. Westgate is next to the Gila River Arena, home of the Arizona Coyotes, and adjacent to the University of Phoenix Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals.
Aloft hotels offer modern design and a hip social experience all at an affordable price. The brand features many technological innovations including keyless check-in, robotic butlers and global music programming.
The hotel is expected to be complete by January 2019.
